Our Story

River Ridge Improvements began in 2004 when David Kruse built his first spec house. Following its success, he expanded into the concrete industry and developed Meadow View Estates in Savannah, MO - putting River Ridge on the map.

As the business grew, concrete and excavation services were added, and soon River Ridge acquired Woodworker’s Corner, introducing custom cabinetry and hardwood flooring to their expanding portfolio of high-end products and services.

In 2011, River Ridge established a permanent headquarters off Highway 169, complete with a functional shop and office to serve their growing customer base. Always striving to bring clients the latest in innovative improvements, River Ridge expanded into home remodeling, contemporary outdoor living spaces, and smart home technology.

By 2021, meeting the increasing demand for high-quality custom homes and luxury remodels led River Ridge Improvements to its current location at 1202 Faraon Street in downtown St. Joseph, MO, where they continue to deliver craftsmanship, honesty, and cutting-edge solutions to every project.
